Success doesn’t “just happen” to anyone, no matter how many advantages one is born with. Success requires effort and taking determined affirmative action to reach your goals. Thinking about it isn’t enough and minimum effort gets you minimum results. Only with definitive affirmative action applied consistently and energetically will you make your dreams a reality.

Goal Setting and Affirmative Action

4207563765 954cd50863 m Affirmative Action Taking Affirmative Action to Accomplish Your GoalsThe first step to meeting a goal is to define it. Be specific and write it down, followed by a list of steps it will take to reach the end goal. By breaking it down into small, achievable steps, you will have a blueprint of affirmative action to put that goal within your reach. Scratching off each step as you complete it gives you a sense of accomplishment along with the momentum to keep going, with your goal firmly in your mind.

Put your passion to work with every affirmative action you take. Living your life passionately, putting your all into every task, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant, will be a reward in itself to keep you inspired and inspire others around you. Things we love to do, we automatically do with passion and joy. For other tasks, those things that don’t particularly inspire that passion without some help, there are techniques you can use to keep that energy flowing to make affirmative action a part of your life every day.

The Power of Positive Affirmations

Positive affirmations are short statements that inspire you to replace the negative thoughts that hold you back. Negative thoughts drain your energy and deplete your spirit, doing nothing to help you achieve your goals. Positive affirmations lead to affirmative action by keeping you focused on your goals and believing in yourself.

Staying positive and passionate isn’t always easy without some outside help. By proactively seeking out affirmations that motivate and inspire you, that help is always close at hand. Write them down and keep them in front of you, or print small signs with your favorite affirmations and stick them to the fridge, your mirror, or your car dashboard as continuous reminders that today will be one of affirmative action to get you closer to your goal.

Affirmations inspire emotion and with repetition will find their way into your unconscious mind to replace that old negative dialogue that resides there. By putting those affirmations together with  affirmative action, thoughts of “I am a failure” will be quickly replaced with thoughts of “I am a success!” Nothing inspires passion like success! With attention and practice, thinking positively and applying passion to every action will become your way of life.

Positive affirmations aren’t a quick fix, they are a lifetime fix. What you think is who you are and it is entirely within your control. Take affirmative action starting right now. Write down your goals and the steps to achieve them and let positive affirmations inspire your passion to keep you on track every day.
